This year Los Angeles auto show promises to be very exciting event. The car manufacturers have definitely save their best models for the last motor show in North America. For instance, Alfa Romeo is arriving with their first ever SUV. Yes, the Italian automaker will introduce the all-new and amazing 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, which will be one of the stars of the November’s LA auto show.

2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio: Styling and Features

We caught sever testing model over this year, but this one seems to be ready for production. Alfa’s high-riding vehicle appears to have a lot in common with the recently introduced Giulia, which is great because the compact car looks really handsome. The most evident similarities are in the front end that sports pretty the same grille and headlights. The front bumper is on the other hand totally different. There are more mussels down there, as well as larger air intakes. Still, this is rather expected because the SUV gets pretty power that needs to be cooled down all the time.

Now, at the fires glance, the 2018 Stelvio isn’t a real SUV, but more some kind of a coupe-looking crossover. You see this slopping roof and sleek hood? It’s definitely very sleek and gentle, without a single boxy line all around.

We haven’t seen a complete interior, yet we are sure it will be the strongest point of the upcoming SUV. All Italians cars are simply perfect inside… Well, they have matchless design, so we are absolutely positive that the 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio would not stay behind either. They will probably borrow plenty of stuff from the Giulia, but altogether, the Stelvio will be more luxurious and modern. The carmaker will incorporate plenty of wood and leather, as well as some aluminum inserts and contrast stitching.

Oh yeah, we forgot to mention that Alfa Romeo’s first SUV won’t be a wimp, but the real thing. For North America the 2018 Stelvio will offer one amazing and one really impressive engine. The first will be a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 mill that will be able to produce 276 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. If you think this is not enough, what do you say for the optional twin-turbocharged 2.9-liter V-6 engine, which currently delivers 502 horsepower? In Europe the automaker will also offer a 2.2-liter gasoline engine, and likely a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-4 diesel. The engines will be paired with a six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic transmission. Of course, you will be able to choose between the standard rear-wheel drive and optional all-wheel drive.

Estimated Price

There is nothing official regarding the price yet, but we think it will start a bit below $40,000. In any case, we will found out more details, because the 2018 Alfa-Romeo Stelvio is coming at the 2017 Los Angeles auto show.
