The new 2015 Nissan Altima will remain the same as before, without prepared changes for the 2015 model. Nissan management has all the reasons to be delighted by its market performance since Altima left the compact sedan segment and entered the mid-size sedan market competition. They won’t change it while it makes a satisfying success, but another reason is that this mid-size sedan had a major redesign just two years ago, so it’s not an option to make a new big redesign now. However, there may be some minor changes when it comes to the new Altima interior and technology.
2015 NISSAN ALTIMA INTERIOR AND SAFETY SYSTEMS
The appearance of the 2015 Nissan Altima won’t be changed. Its length will be 191.5 inches and wheelbase will be 109.3 inches, the same as before. The 2015 Nissan Altima interior will have high-quality materials and a lot of comfort. A decent amount of legspace and the roof height provide a comfortable ride for five adult passengers. There are a dual-zone climate control and front seat heaters as a standard. The technology implemented in the new 2015 Nissan Altima will be improved. Almost everyone who had a chance to experience the advantages of the NissanConnect Apps praise its capabilities and performance. The safety system won’t have any improvements, but its performance is completely satisfying. There will be a rear-view camera, blind-spot monitoring, lane-change warning system and rear-cross traffic alerts implemented as parts of the new Altima safety characteristics.
2015 NISSAN ALTIMA ENGINES, TRANSMISSION AND MPG
The same engine palette used for the previous Altima will be offered for the new Altima. The choice will have to be made within the range of two engines. The first one is 2.5-liter DOHC 4-cylinder 16-valve. It produces 182 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. The stronger engine offered is 3.5-liter DOHC V-6 24-valve. This engine can make 270 horsepower and 251 lb-ft of torque. The 2015 Nissan Altima transmission will be Xtronic continuously variable gearbox no matter which engine is installed. The exquisite fuel economy for the 2.5-liter engine is 27 mpg/city and 38 mpg/highway. The 3.5-liter V-6 fuel economy is 22 mpg/city and 31 mpg/highway.
2015 NISSAN ALTIMA PRICE AND RELEASE
The price of the 2015 Nissan Altima isn’t known yet, but we can reasonably estimate that, since there are no crucial changes, the price shouldn’t be far from the price of the current Altima model. In other words, the basic trim level 2015 Nissan Altima should cost around $22,000 while the most expensive equipped Altima will cost around $30,000. It should be at the dealers’ showrooms by mid-summer 2014.
